Economic Empowerment through Skills
This 4-month vocational program in Bardiya targeted 45 women from low-income households, offering a path to economic independence through the skill of tailoring.
Curriculum: Beyond Basic Sewing
The training went beyond basic stitching, integrating principles of sustainability and modern design to make the graduates competitive in the market.

Market Linkages
Upon graduation, the women formed a cooperative, the 'Nari Silai Samuha' (Women's Sewing Group). The foundation assisted them in securing their first bulk order for school uniforms, providing immediate income generation.
Equipment Support
Each graduate received a subsidized, high-quality sewing machine and a starter kit of fabrics and tools.
The project successfully transformed skill acquisition into tangible business opportunities, shifting participants from dependency to self-reliance. The curriculum made extensive use of code blocks to demonstrate complex stitching diagrams visually.
